STC Announces Season for 2017

The Sydney Theatre Company celebrated the launch of their 2017 in September and boy oh boy was there a lot to celebrate! Their selection is full of diverse stories that are passionate, smart, fun and at times, controversial. Here are the productions we can’t wait to see!

Angus Cerini’s award winning and critically acclaimed THE BLEEDING TREE. This Australian murder ballad blown up for the stage will feature Linsten Morris Management‘s Shari Sebbens at the Wharf Theatre from 9 March – 11 April.

Shari will also tread the boards of the STC in BLACK IS THE NEW WHITE, a delightfully incisive new romantic comedy by one of this country’s most in-demand writers, Nakkiah Lui. Previews start on 5 May and the season runs from 11 May – 17 Jun 2017.

Linsten Morris Managements “giant of Australian theatre” John Bell will also make his welcome return to the STC stage in 2017 for The Father, a profoundly moving and darkly comic new play which has captivated audiences in Paris, London and New York. The Father runs from 19th August- 21 October.
